    This worked for me....no matter what don't eat after 8pm. If you are not really an athletic person just try power walking. Cut back on the sweets and drinks lots of water...cold water. I also lost weight by not drinking any diet soda. I stopped all carbonated drinks. Good Luck!

    There is no easy way to lose a lot of weight in a short amount of time. Rapid weight loss will only be regained and yo-yo dieting makes it harder to lose weight in the long run.
    Do a lot of research on what kind of food you're putting in your body. Eating the right foods and plenty of water are the "no duh's" of dieting but they are really the only true advie one can give.
    Exercise. If you hate exercising, just take a short walk in the morning.
    Don't starve yourself. Ever. Skipping breakfast and meals, or cutting dramatically back on calories will only cause you to crave foods and sets your up for binges. Eating 3 meals and 2 snacks will keep you satisfied all day.
    And this kind of counter-acts my whole answer, but don't take the advice of other people. Dieting is not a "one-size fits all" method. Some people opt to count calories, cut out soda, count exchanges, do WW.... ect. You have to see what works for you best and what makes you feel the best. It can be trial and error but important to do what fits you.

    Recovering from a 5 yr eating disorder, went into treatment, and have a dietician from the same treatment program. Dietician taught us a lot of healthy realities.

    Aerobic exercise and manage calorie intake. Any opportunity where you can walk rather than drive, take it. You're in a building and you need to go to the 6th floor, take the stairs. As far as eating tips, try to substitute the bad foods and snacks that you eat for healthier ones. Recently I've found that Cheerios, particularly Honey Nut, are a great healthy snack that fulfills both the sweetness you desire and they have a good crunch to them. When shopping for groceries, tend toward poultry rather than red meat and look for fat free items or diet items. Cut out sugar. If you drink a lot of soda, go diet (or "Zero", "One") and find a good substitute for chocolate and candy. What I find most helpful is reading labels and compare. More important information on labels: # of calories, total fat, saturated fat, trans fat(preferably 0%) and sugars. If you're a drinker, switch to light beer or drink clear (vodka, gin) liquor mixed with light beverages.
