2007-04-11 14:25:55Im 15 years old and weigh 95kg. Im 5ཆ. I need some tips on weight loss such as what I should eat and what I shouldnt eat. Also help with excercises for fat burning.

2007-04-11 14:39:57First off congratulations on making the decision to improve on your health. You are still young so I wouldn't worry about too much on your dieting - you body is develping and it's going to need the extra nutrients.
Start by looking at your meals - are they heavy in sauce? Do they have enough fresh vegetables? Are you eating fruit? Try to add at least one fruit or vegetable serving untill your up to about 4-5 servings a day. I am not a big vegetable person, when I found out you can get most of the same vitamins and nutrients in fruit I was stoked!! I will eat some vegetables (brocolli, carrots, fresh spinach, dark leafy greans) but I try to eat a wider variety of fruits as well.
You are only 15 I am sure you have friends in school or in your neighborhood that plays sports - either for fun or on a team - see if you can join a local sports team (something that gets you moving 85 - 95% of the time. (Swimming, tennis, football, basketball) If you can't find one - start your own team, grabs some friends and go skateboarding (not sure where you live). See if you can join the local girls and boys club - they always have activities going. If you are not to far, try walking to school. Every little extra step you can get will count to helping you lose weight. Ask your parents for a pedometer it will keep track of how many steps you take in a day. Plus it's a good way to set goals for your weightloss - gradualy increase your daily steps!
The bottom line is just make sure you are getting plenty of exercise - have your parents take you hiking, that's always fun. I am sure you are very creative and will think of something that you will enjoy and be able to maintain thru out adulthood!

2007-04-11 14:42:25I am 6ƈ and used to weigh 115 kilos. After 8 weeks I lost 15 kilos, and still going down. If I can do it, so can you.
I assume you are healthy- especially no diabetes?
step 1. Eat NOTHING for 5- 7 days. plenty of drink- water. tea (real tea, not the bottled stuff). sounds tough, but it's much easier than trying to "reduce" food intake.
step 2. after the fast is done, plan for eating 4 meals per day-
first- one slice of bread, one slice of meat and one slice of cheese for breakfast
second- half litre of yoghurt at mid day
third- a warm meal for lunch. choose a salad bowl (about 2 cups volume). The meal is to be no bigger than that.
fourth- another "breakfast" sandwitch at 18.00.
food to avoid- chocolate, sugar, white bread, potatoes, bananas, macaroni of all types.
