Include lean protein such as skin less chicken, any seafood and trimmed meats in all meals. But only a small amount (about the size of your palm. Do not fry any food instead you should grill, bake, roast or steam.
Try eating small meals throughout your day instead of 3 big ones, you'll soon notice that it will take less food to satisfy your hunger. I have found that eating only a snack size meal at dinner time has helped me. And I sleep alot better as well.
Also a big mistake people make is cutting out carbs and dairy foods. Eat brown rice, wholegrain breads and brown pasta. And low fat yogurts, cheeses and milk. Instead of margarine or butter for sandwichs or cooking. Use spray olive oil and spread your bread with a low fat dip!!!
Most importantly allow yourself one day off a week. Mine is a sunday. You can eat a take away meal, or chocolate or what ever you feel like but still in moderation. There are plenty of low fat fast food options now. This will stop you from feeling deprived and make your indulgence all the more satisfying because you know you've worked hard all week for it.
