But there are 36 total grams of fat in an Angus Burger, and that is starting to scare me...should it? As long as I am counting calories, should I not worry about fat grams, or should it concern me, if so, what should be my max per day?

2007-07-28 17:44:34if your continuing to lose weight i don't see a problem here. everyone has different tolerances for fat. as long as you dont go over your daily calories your fine. you cant lose fat without eating fat.

2007-07-28 17:02:22it should scare you especially because the fat from that burger is BAD FAT. there are healthy fats that are ok to higher portions of but here is the break down of what your diet should be: 55% calories from carbs, 25% calories from fat and 20% calories from protein. in order to do the math with this you have to figure out how many calories your eating a day. say its 1500. 1500cal x .25 cal = 375 cal. then you divide 375cal by 9cal per gram which is 41.6g of fat allowed in your diet a day. to calculate protein/carbs divide by 4 instead of 9.

Just remember when counting calories, that fat grams contain the most calories.
