    Don't just say simple diet and exercise. I need details, like what kinds of foods and what kinds of exercises. Thank you.

    I have lost a total of 120 pounds so far.
    I lost 105 pounds in my first 6 months. Here is how I did it.
    1. Every morning get up and walk for 45 minutes. You can start with less time, but you want to get up to 45 minutes, and it must be fast walk. You want your heart rate to go up. It must be in the morning, it kick starts your metabolism.
    2. I cut out Red Meat, and fatty foods. Boneless skinnless chicken breast, baked, or grilled, rice and vegetables (steamed).
    3. Eat half. Just eat half of what you normally eat. Put 1/2 on your plate, and put the rest away. Cook less. When you go to fast food, get salads only. Or grilled chicken. No fries, only diet soda. Or water.
    It will work, once you get into a routine, you will get hooked on the results, and you will keep the routine. It has been over a year for me.
    Also start counting your calories. Write them down. You would be amazed as to how much more aware you are of your caloric intake, if you actually write it down. We recently discovered a site that offers a great program that counts calories, as well as keeps track of everything. It allows multiple users, so everyone in the family can keep track. They offer a free 7 day trial, and so far I am very impressed with the product. Try the 7 days and see. It allows you to add the exercise that you do during the day, which increases the amount of calories you can take in. Very Cool!!

    You need to find what works for you. Some people need to cut carbs for weight loss, others need to cut calories, and some need to cut fat gram content. Experiment with each for three weeks at a time and see what is working best for you.
    Mine was to cut fat grams. Did you know... that Tootsie pops have no fat? A cup of hot tea with a little sugar helps satisfy a sweet tooth and is somewhat filling as well.
    Good luck to you on your weight loss. The most important factor in losing weight is "really" wanting to. I wish you the best.
    IN RESPONSE TO THE TWO ANSWERS UNDER ME...SKipping breakfast is a bad idea. Your morning meal kickstarts your metabolism. Fasting is fine if all you want to do is lose a few pounds of pure water weight.

    Read these carefully your answer is there :
    When mother Nature has provided us with such a simple and easy treatment to cure diseases and even to avoid them we all must follow the instructions given by her. These Therapies only help Nature to cure us. Let us not ignore Nature in our mad pursuit of science. THIS NATURE'S 'DO IT YOURSELF' ACUPRESSURE THERAPY ITSLEF IS A SCIENCE AND NOT A MATTER OF BELIEF. Try this Therapy sincerely and regularly for at least 15 days and observe its wonderful and amazing result.
    Obesity : This is due to :
    1. Malfunctioing of Thyroid/Parathyroid gland and late on other endocrine
    glands e.g. malfunctioning of Pineal gland leads to retention of water and
    excess water in the body and leads to excess fat.
    2. Underworking of Sex glands mainly in ladies after delivery of a child.
    3. Overeating i.e. taking more calories than required by the body.

    C U R E :

    Take minimum 3 liters water in a day.
    Take Acupessure treatment on all endocrine glands twice daily.

    In the case of females,damage to endocrine glands of Thyroid/Parathyroid is very common. Moreover, their Sex glands are damaged during pregnancy or delivery because of worry. And so when these two endocrine glands do not function properly, these women start putting on weight more around the waist. Because of damage to these two endocrine glands, sometimes even Pineal gland is damaged and so there is more retention of water in the body, which is also one of the reasons for excess weight.
    When such patients come, their obese figure obviously shows their problem which can be confirmed by pressing on point nos. 8, 11 to 15 and no. 3. At this time of checking, it is advisable to check other endocrine glands too, so you can locate any further damage, if any. for cure, first it is necessary to treat these two endocrine glands for 15/20 days and only then start dieting and treatment on not only these two endocrine glands but also on the other endocrine glands. I have treated many cases,where the weight loss was from 2/3 kgs to 10 kgs per month.     Think of everything you eat normally, and eat less of it. Drink lots of water. Do regular aerobic exercise (3-4 times a week), and try to walk as much as possible

    If you want to concentrate on losing weight, exercise in the morining as much as you can, and don't eat breakfast, instead just have a cup of water or if you really need to eat something, have some juice! You can eat in the afternoon and you had better eat your dinner before 7pm . You will probably be losing weight.

    kekwick fast. you don't need to exercise but helps a tiny bit if you do, it works really fast, and you lose mostly fat not just water weight.

    Each individual is different from one another same is for metabolism. So a diet or weight loss plan varies from one person to another.
    1. However for a start you should start walking for about 30 mins two times a day. It is the most basic & easy to do, form of exercise. Increase the duration with every passing week or as you feel comfortable with.
    2. If you have a Gym cycle at home you can also include it in your exercise plan. Go for it in the similar manner as mentioned above.
    3. If you have stairs at home that can also be included. You just need to go up & down the stairs for as much as 5-8 mins intitially & increase the duration as you get used to it.
    4. Aerobic exercises are the most effective in weight loss, the above mentioned are Aerobic exercises. There are other forms of Aerobic exercises for which u will have to go to gym or buy a tape of Aerobic exercises or follow any show that comes on T.V. These may include light dumbells.
    5. All these exercises should be performed within 1 hour.
    6. Also vary these exercises as body tends to get used to exercises & the desired results are not seen. For example if u do walking first then u can make it the last part of your exercise. U can vary them like walk fastly or jog.
    7. Take break of 5 mins in between these exercise.
    8. Do warm up & stertching for about 10 mins to prepare the body for exercise & avoid injury.
    9. In this there may be a time when your weight loss will be none or u could gain a bit weight. Do not panic as u would have gained muscle mass which may not be visible but is there.
    10. Do not overdo. Slow & steady wins the race. Be punctual.
    Do not stop your workout in between as u would double gain the weight that u have lost. Workout is a life long schedule although it's duration & intensity can be lessened once u have reached a desired weight loss..
    DIET
    1. Do not stop intaking of fats & carbs. U need to lessen & economise it's intake as they r very much needed for a healthy body.
    2. Drink lots of water, juices & calorie free drinks.
    3. Eat more fruits & vegetables. Try to eat them right b4 or 5 mins b4 u r about to eat your meal that way u will consume less of the actual meal. Drink a glass of water to decrease your hunger b4 meals to avoid eating more.
    4. Take 5-6-7 small meals as compared to 3 full meals.
    5. Eat less at night as it is the end of the day & food is not utilised by the body as much as it is utilised in daytime.
    6. Use fat free butter, cream & drinks. Use sugar free sweetners.
    7. Take lime water everyday.
